So, what's my deal?
Since 2018, I’ve worked as a UX Designer at TMG, an e-commerce consulting firm. Here, I’ve honed my abilities as a designer, researcher, and team leader in support of creating useful, accessible, intuitive, user-centered websites and mobile applications.
But the path took to get here has been somewhat unorthodox.
I received my Master's Degree in International Human Rights from the Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver. In my undergraduate career, I double-majored in International Studies and French, with minors in Studio Art and Leadership, also at the University of Denver.
This eclectic academic background was what informed my drive to use design, communication, and visual art in service of a greater good.
I followed an internship at RBI Strategies & Research in Denver with a full-time position there as Creative Associate, putting my design, scripting, and video and audio production skills to work on local and international political and issue campaigns.
Despite winning a number of awards for my work at RBI, building a career writing political attack ads wasn't exactly how I pictured my future. Following the 2012 election cycle, I transitioned to Boulder B-cycle, where I spent more than five years applying my skills in service of alternative transportation.
Because I'm happiest when I'm making something, I've continued to pair my full-time work with freelance and personal creative projects on the side, including drawing, printmaking, sculpture, graphic design, branding, and creative writing.
